NOVEMBER – MOUTH CANCER ACTION AWARENESS MONTH


Mouth cancer also called Oral cancer  can occur in parts of  mouth like  on the surface of the tongue, the lips, inside the cheek, in the gums, top and down of the mouth, tongue and salivary glands

Symptoms of Mouth Cancer
In early stages we cannot find symptoms as such but later smokers and heavy drinkers should regular check dentist and make sure they are not affected
Swelling that persists for over 3 weeks
Pain when swallowing
Loose teeth with no apparent reason
Poorly fitting dentures
Jaw pain or stiffness
Sore throat
Painful tongue
Hoarse voice
These symptoms doesn’t mean person is affected with mouth cancer but worth checking doctor
ORAL CANCER CUREABLE:
Yes, Oral cancer is curable at rate of 99% if it is diagnosed early stage. However if it spreads the percentage of curable rate decreases

PCOS Awareness Month - Understanding and Reversing Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome



PCOS is called Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) which usually prevails in women. This disease is hormonal disorder caused mainly in women reproductive system. It is mainly due to hormonal imbalance in them. Women with PCOS suffer excessive menstrual periods or excess male hormone in female.
Exact reasons behind this PCOS is unknown while this leads to
Irregular or abnormally heavy periods,
Excess androgen this may result in physical signs such as excess facial and body hair in female.
Polycystic ovaries this is which ovaries might enlarge and fail to function regularly. This also leads failure in release eggs regularly.

The causes for PCOS are
Excess insulin
Low grade inflammation
Heredity
Excess androgen
